Theophilus Raka Inderatma

Career

In 2018, following his high school graduation, Raka participated in an audition hosted by SEME Entertainment to become an idol trainee. After two years of training, he eventually made his debut with DEAR DREAM in March 2020.In May 2020, just a few months after his debut, Raka released 'Dan' as part of the soundtrack for the series 'How to Sail A Ship'.In March 2021, Raka participated as a co-writer on various songs for DEAR DREAM's first album. Continuing his songwriting journey, he released several self-writing songs such as 'Teman Sejati' (in collaboration with Eisha and a fellow DEAR DREAM member, Erren) and 'Apa Adanya' (in collaboration with Allya of DELUNE). He also contributed to composing and producing two original-soundtracks of Indonesian movie 'Akasia'.In August 2021, he started his career in South Korea through DEAR DREAM activities. For almost a year, DEAR DREAM successfully released several Korean songs and promoted their songs on many local music shows. He also served as a music video director for DEAR DREAM's song '지금처럼만 (Be There For You)'.In late 2021, Raka made his acting debut in the movie 'Hiraeth' as Leo Adrian Adhinata.In 2022, Raka began his career in Japan under a pseudonym MAKI. Along with 88TUNES founders and renowned Japanese utaite, yugo and RAY 礼, they wrote and produced various songs together.In 2023, Raka chose not to renew his contract with SEME Entertainment due to his desire to focus on his solo activities. He later signed a contract with 88TUNES , a newly established record label from Japan. Nonetheless, Raka still remains a part of DEAR DREAM. In the same year, it was also revealed that Raka was the person behind Utaite MAKI, who is well-known for his high-range vocals.In 2024, Raka released 'S.O.S' for the soundtrack of the movie 'Kucing'.
